Biography
Susanne has been practising in family law since 1993. She joined Kennedy Partners in 2005, after honing her legal skills across a broad spectrum of regional, suburban and CBD firms and community legal practice and Victoria Legal Aid. She was appointed partner in 2012. Susanne’s practice ranges from several high-profile matters or identities to regular pro bono work.
Susanne is a member of the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia and the Law Institute of Victoria, and a former member of Victoria Legal Aid’s panel of Independent Children’s Lawyers.

Susanne’s major achievements include the successful conduct and management of many important cases involving complex financial structures, high net worth parties, and difficult or novel legal issues and concepts relating to fraud, tax liabilities, trust structures, and sham transactions. She considers her best achievements to include the reported cases of D’Cruz & Pierce [2008] FamCA 819; Candlin & Candlin [2017] FCCA 2211; Strahan & Strahan [2013] FamCAFC 203; and Hall & Hall [2015] FamCAFC 154.
Susanne has vast experience in the conduct of challenging parenting matters featuring allegations of abuse, high conflict, parental alienation, intra and interstate relocation, family violence and mental health. Her international practice has included proceedings under the Hague Convention (Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction), cross-jurisdictional service of proceedings (Hague Convention on Service Abroad of Judicial and Extrajudicial Documents), overseas maintenance, international relocation, and acting for parties living or with assets overseas.
