Biography
Amy holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours from Monash University. She is accredited by the Law Institute of Victoria as a specialist in family law.
Amy commenced her legal career as a Legal Associate in the Family Court of Australia prior to joining Kennedy Partners in 2017. During her time with the Court, Amy gained insight into court processes and procedures as well as technical proficiency in all areas of family law, including parenting matters, complex financial disputes and matters involving overseas jurisdictions.
Amy’s court experience informs her approach to each client’s situation and the assistance she gives. She understands the stresses and challenges facing clients and focuses on providing workable, timely and cost-effective solutions.
Amy has been ranked by Doyles Guide 2022 rankings for Victoria as one of the rising stars of the Melbourne family law profession.
Amy is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria, the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia and Victorian Women Lawyers.

Expertise
Amy has outstanding technical ability. Since commencing at Kennedy Partners, she has developed skills and experience in all areas of litigation as well as processes outside the court system, such as mediation and arbitration. She has put her academic and practical skills to good use for her clients in difficult circumstances, most notably interstate relocation (Schroder & Schroder [2018] FCCA 3463).
Amy continues to collaborate with the partners on several high-scale or complex cases, which have included Candlin & Candlin [2017] FCCA 2211; Zeng & Jing and Anor (No 2) [2018] FamCA 716; and Strahan & Strahan [2019] FamCAFC 31.
Amy possesses a keen attention to detail which, coupled with her technical ability, enables her to provide focused and clear advice to her clients.
