Ashlea’s experience within the family law system comprises roles across both private and non-for-profit sectors and the Courts. Her time at the Federal Circuit Court, working closely with the judiciary, provided her wide extensive knowledge of court processes and procedures.
Ashlea holds a Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne. During her tertiary study, Ashlea worked as a law clerk at Kennedy Partners and volunteered at Women’s Legal Service Victoria providing paralegal support to the family law and family violence teams.
Ashlea commenced her legal career as an Associate to Her Honour Judge Harland at the Federal Circuit Court of Australia working exclusively in the family law jurisdiction. This role allowed her to develop a detailed knowledge of the family law court system and assist with research in a broad range of current and emerging areas of family law.
Ashlea is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria and the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia
